El Salvador

Our network of relationships in El Salvador is steadily growing. Through our partners we are able to provide leadership development training to church and business leaders around the country, take teams to serve vulnerable children, to empower future generations to rise out of poverty, to spread the Good News of Jesus through preaching and teaching, and so much more.

We also work alongside Shalom Children’s Home, in the town of Santiago, Texacuangos. Their Christian School serves approximately 275 students. The Shalom Family Medical Center (Centro Medico Familia Shalom) opened in 2015 and is staffed by fully licensed medical doctors. Hundreds of unattended sick, diseased, and injured people within a several mile radius of the clinic site. They provide low-cost and no-cost care to approximately 170,000 people within its service radius. Shalom also has a feeding program that which is a ministry of the youth of the Shalom Children’s Home to this community. The Shalom youth serves the meal and a Bible program to anywhere from 50 to 100 children per visit. Occasionally the home will distribute groceries, shoes, books, or other needed items to the families.

David Cuchillas is our Links Representative for El Salvador, and he helps us stay connected to pressing needs at Shalom, ongoing projects in and around San Salvador, and helps strategize future opportunities to invest in El Salvador. 

Any amount donated to Shalom will pay for education for the children at the home, funds to keep the medical center open, the church going and for teams to travel to and from El Salvador several times a year.
