Summer Focus - Education for the Nations
It's June, Links Family! It is unbelievable how quickly this year has flown by. As we dive into our summertime, we want to slow things down just a bit and focus on Education for the Nations.
Missionaries who are sent out often find themselves working in education of some kind. The gift of education changes the trajectory of children born into poverty. In many cases, a quality education gives them the hand-up they need to work for fair wages and escape poverty's snare.
Not only that, quality Christian education is sought out even by people of different faiths in the developing world.
Supporting education is not only giving significant opportunities, but it is supporting planting Gospel seeds into unreached areas.
Before we know it, Moms and Dads in our part of the world will be taking the school supply checklist to Walmart to gather all of the supplies needed for a successful year of school. As the Bible says to 'love our neighbor as ourselves', we would also like to help provide our Links Family with an opportunity to do that in practical ways for kids in the nations.
As you are out and about picking up or starting to think about gathering clothes and school supplies, would you consider providing those same necessities for kids who will otherwise not have it? Below you can see a few of our Education giving opportunities (and there are even more than that).
At the end of the summer, we will send the GOOD NEWS of education to several different nations which we will be highlighting in the coming weeks. You can donate now or donate later to make a tangible difference in the lives of children who are desperate for quality education.
