Packing for Panama and taking clean water!
Tomorrow we are sending a team to work with a new Partner in Panama. Our friends at For the One who work with the Kuna people (a previously unreached group) discovered the children from the islands were frequently ill and adults were developing other conditions related to unclean drinking water. They reached out and asked if we could help...and HELP IS ON THE WAY!
David Cuchillas, our El Salvador Country Director, is flying down tomorrow morning with 25 water filter kits to pilot a clean water project with our new friends. These 25 filters will provide clean drinking water for hundreds of people who are currently importing water that is making them sick and this is their only source of drinking water.
Our dear friends Barry & Yvette Henry from Vecinos are also supporting this project, and they will join David and Marcus Gruver, directors of Kuna Agricultural Foundation, for this incredible opportunity. In addition to introducing clean water, they will be assisting with sharing the gospel, ministering to the local people and assisting with medical services.
I would like to ask you two things:
1.) Would you please pray for our team and the people they will be serving over the next week? We believe in the power of prayer, and we want this trip to be as much GOOD NEWS as possible. As always, an abundance of details have to come together, and the developing world always presents challenges. Please pray for their health, safety, and for the trip to bear Kingdom fruit.
2.) Would you also consider making a donation to make sure we can continue to say “YES” to more requests for clean water? In some places, we are able to provide a filter kit for as little as $25.
