Covid-19 Opportunities & Response
Dear Links Family,
I pray that your family is hanging in there during such a challenging time. You are in our prayers, and if you need anything during this time, please let us know!
While Covid-19 has disrupted our normal rhythms, it has also provided tremendous opportunities. Our biggest opportunity is to remember that we are called to serve. Our mandate to be GOOD NEWS has an even bigger impact when we are surrounded by (seemingly) nothing but BAD NEWS.
As we look ahead to months of postponed trips, our hearts are heavy. However, we are still very focused on mobilization through our partners around the world and also here at home. There is good reason for caution in these days, but I believe that the call to generosity isn't conditional. We believe that God is our source, and just as we trust Him for our daily bread, we also believe that His provision to us is also a provision to be shared.
Our partners around the world are starting to feel the effects of shut-downs. Many of our partners fund their mission and ministry locally by providing quality education to the community. Those school fees also provide means to confront poverty, create potential, and share the Gospel with their communities. Other partners benefit from teams from the US coming to be a part of the work, and they will be hurt badly by travel shutdowns. Others are dependent upon the generosity of their giving teams - many of whom face an uncertain financial future. Several partners have reached out already, and we know others will soon.
As we navigate this together, we are putting together a special fund to be able to respond to as many needs as we can. If you would like to give to this initiative, please use the button below. Even a small donation can be significant.
As always, let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else. Blessings and much love to you all!
