For the past year, public schools in Malawi have had huge disruptions due to Covid. This has caused many of the young girls who were studying to miss almost a year of school. Missing a year of education in the developing world could have devastating consequences for the future.

With our partners, Abundant Life Center, a system of community learning has been deployed that will allow these young women to not lose any ground in their education, will keep them from being vulnerable to trafficking, early marriage and possibly even pregnancy. This project will also help their families have essential provisions during the pandemic.

Because of your generosity, we were able to fund this empowerment project to support these girls and provide them the necessary resources to continue going to class even if the strikes continue or schools close again.

We could not be more proud of this work that is happening in Malawi. Empowering and educating young women is a privilege and an honor. If you would like to donate toward a future project like this, together, we can help build a better future for them and for the young women who follow after them for generations to come.

This past weekend we spent it distributing school materials, school tuition, food rations and motivational packs to our girls in communities so that they are motivated to stay in school, study and hope for a better future amidst COVID-19. We are grateful yet again to Links International USA for the support.
