Meg Gettinger-Dul is one of our mission workers in Hungry. Her main outreach is to groups of Mothers through what many know as MOPS, however, they changed their name to The MomCo this year, but their mission is the same:

MomCo encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church.

Meet Meg, her family, and a few of the ladies she works with:

My current position in the organization is the Global Ministry Developer for Western and Central Europe. This includes: Hungary, Belgium, Croatia, Austria, Germany, France, Netherlands, Estonia, and Lithuania. Some Mom groups meet in English, some in Romanian (in the immigrant communities), and many meet in their local language.

This year we had a project to translate a "Global Curriculum" into several different languages. Here in Europe, Christianity isn't new, but many people don't see authentic faith lived out. moms that come are part of the host church sometimes, but often they are from the community and either have never been Christian or have some severe spiritual wounds.

The MomCo makes it easy for moms to first of all lead a group for moms in their community, but also to invite women into a church community in a gentle way. Churches here say The MomCo is one of their most effective outreaches. It definitely meets a need moms have for community with other moms. Maternity leave is longer in Europe, too! Moms stay home with their kids on paid maternity leave for one to three years! So they have the availability in this specific stage of life.

Some requests I would ask our Links Family to pray for are: 1.) For moms to come to know the transforming power of Jesus through these groups, experience spiritual healing, and be empowered to raise their kids in an emotionally healthy home. 2.) For leaders to have energy and grace and wisdom to continue. 3.) For more churches to try this ministry outreach.
