Slovakia Report

Thank you very much for your financial support for our Church aid fund for Ukraine. Many, many thanks.

We have been able to help as many as 230-240 people who have all stayed in our Church for one or more nights before deciding what to do next.

We have found long-term accommodation and work for those who decided to stay in Košice. Because the wave of refugees at the border has now slowed to a trickle, we have only about 10-15 people staying in the church each week. Because of that, we have decided to focus more on transporting humanitarian supplies to the most needed places in Ukraine through our trusted contacts in Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Rivno, and Kharkiv.

We will also continue to send supplies and food to Ukraine through a pastor who brought his family from Mariupol to stay in Košice. He has been filling his van with supplies and traveling to needy places in Ukraine ever since he came to Slovakia.

We also cook meals every Sunday for all Ukrainian guests who come to our church service for around 30-50 people. We have been able to employ four Ukrainian women part-time, who attend our church. They help their fellow Ukrainians with translation, cooking meals, and helping them with legal documents needed for their long-term residence here.

Thank you for serving us with your prayers and financial support. We thank God for you and are awed by His goodness and compassion. May God bless you.
