Happy Thanksgiving from Links

One of my favorite leadership authors is Jon Gordon. He says,

“It’s impossible to be stressed and thankful at the same time.”

Based on research from the folks at the Heart Math Institute, thoughts of gratitude overpower thoughts of stress.

Sometimes we have a tendency to overcomplicate our lives...especially when fear, confusion, pride, discouragement, loss, and stress are nearby. It’s hard to determine the best next steps. It’s easy to feel stuck. It’s easy to question everything. Right now it seems like everything is just more complicated than it needs to be.

When Paul writes, “give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, he’s inviting us to make even the most complicated of circumstances incredibly simple. God’s will for your life is to give thanks in everything. Yes. Everything. Giving thanks overpowers stress. It overpowers fear. It overpowers confusion. It overpowers doubts. It is even the catalyst for walking in God’s will for your life.

As we sit around tables and eat great food with our family and friends this week, let’s remember the power of GIVING THANKS. It’s not just a passing sentiment. It’s everything.

With Thanksgiving in our hearts, let’s cast a wide net of gratitude and look for the blessings of God in the midst of this complicated season. The blessings are there. He is there. He is with you.

We are so grateful for you and everyone in our Links Family. Happy Thanksgiving!

For the Kingdom,

Jason
