Helping Girls - We Can!
A special message from the girls in Malawi…
Today is International Women’s Day, but in reality, every single day at Links is International Women’s Day! In so many of the vulnerable communities we serve, women are pillars of strength and care. However, in many places, women have not had access to education, opportunity or even dignity. We are changing that through our global partnerships!
We are empowering girls to be next-generation leaders that will break the chains of generations-old oppression. We are providing access to education, we are getting ahead of trafficking vulnerabilities, we are providing feminine hygiene products and healthcare, we are helping launch women into business and actually, a lot more.
Right now, we would like to invite you to participate in an amazing opportunity in Malawi. COVID has stolen a year of education from a lot of the developing world, and that could have devastating consequences for their future. 67 girls in Malawi need our help! We have a system of community learning that can be deployed that will allow these young women to not lose any ground in their education, will keep them from being vulnerable to trafficking, and will also help their families have essential provisions during the pandemic.
Funding this project for an entire year costs $1,500. Would you be willing to invest in these precious young women? They are wearing shirts that say, “GIRLS WE CAN,” and we want to stand behind them. We believe in them. We believe they are a good investment! Helping these girls is something that WE CAN do!
Could you reach out to your family, friends, co-workers, community groups, or mission teams? $20 covers one young woman’s participation in this program for a year. For the price of 2 Chick-fil-A meals, we can cover an entire year of education for someone who values it tremendously.
